Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for New Jersey young women help?

Although Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have helped girls from all over the country. This program serves young women ages 18-23 that have successfully completed a treatment program and are looking for their next step. Journey Home Young Adult helps students continue to receive clinical support from our multidisciplinary team and establish a healthy lifestyle in a supportive living environment.

The city offers a variety of resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks–all easily accessible from our home like setting. We integrate a variety of groups outings for adventure and cultural activities that Salt Lake City has to offer into our weekly schedule.

New Jersey Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

At Journey Home Young Adult, we see the transition to young adulthood as an event to be celebrated! We have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage New Jersey young women to face the unique challenges of life transitions, particularly into young adulthood. Having successfully completed a treatment program, young women face unique challenges when considering their next step. They know that they need a bit more support and structure than other young adults might. Everyone in our community understands and respects the progress these women have made on their individual journeys of self discovery. This is why Journey Home Young Adult was created: to help guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders during their transition into young adulthood.

Helping Young Women From New Jersey Launch Into A Brighter Future

By working with young women ages 18-23, we can focus on the specific needs of this population in terms of failure to launch issues. We focus on personal responsibility, healthy relationships, life skills, and college integration in order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the New Jersey young women we work with. At Journey Home Young Adult, our young women learn about self-care, budgeting, time management, and other skills that lead to increased personal responsibility. We emphasize open and honest communication in everyday interactions.
