Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for New Mexico young women help?

Located in Salt Lake City, Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program created to fit your individual needs. This program serves young women ages 18-23 that have successfully completed a treatment program and are looking for their next step. Journey Home Young Adult helps students continue to receive clinical support from our multidisciplinary team and establish a healthy lifestyle in a supportive living environment.

The city offers a variety of resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks–all easily accessible from our home like setting. We integrate a variety of groups outings for adventure and cultural activities that Salt Lake City has to offer into our weekly schedule.

New Mexico Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

Journey Home Young Adult celebrates the transition to young adulthood. We have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage New Mexico young women to face the unique challenges of life transitions, particularly into young adulthood. Having successfully completed a treatment program, young women face unique challenges when considering their next step. They know that they need a bit more support and structure than other young adults might. Everyone in our community understands and respects the progress these women have made on their individual journeys of self discovery. This is why Journey Home Young Adult was created: to help guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders during their transition into young adulthood.

Helping Young Women From New Mexico Launch Into A Brighter Future

Failure to launch issues are common in young women ages 18-23, although every student has individual needs that we work with. In order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the New Mexico young women we work with, we focus on teaching them a variety of life skills, including personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and college integration. At Journey Home Young Adult, our young women learn about self-care, budgeting, time management, and other skills that lead to increased personal responsibility. We emphasize open and honest communication in everyday interactions.
