Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for New Mexico young women help?

Although Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have helped girls from all over the country. We help young women ages 18-23 looking for their next step after successfully completing a treatment program. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

Our home-like setting is easily accessible to all the resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and the beautiful mountains and National Parks that surround the city! We want our students to experience everything that Salt Lake City has to offer, so built into our weekly schedule are group outings for adventure and cultural activities.

At Journey Home Young Adult, we want to empower young women from New Mexico to heal, grow, and live fuller lives while pursuing their dreams.

New Mexico Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

Journey Home Young Adult celebrates the transition to young adulthood. Young adulthood poses many challenges for New Mexico young women in the middle of the transition, which is why we have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage them. Young women who have previously been in treatment are in unique situations during this transition. Due to the circumstances, they know that they may need a bit more support and structure than other young adults living independently might. After embarking on a journey of self-discovery, these women want to continue to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. This is why Journey Home Young Adult was created: to help guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders during their transition into young adulthood.

Helping Young Women From New Mexico Launch Into A Brighter Future

We focus on the specific needs of young women ages 18-23 who are struggling with failure to launch. We focus on personal responsibility, healthy relationships, life skills, and college integration in order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the New Mexico young women we work with. At Journey Home Young Adult, our young women learn about self-care, budgeting, time management, and other skills that lead to increased personal responsibility. They practice open and honest communication daily.
