Independent Living Programs For Texas Young Adults

Who do Independent Living Programs for Texas Young Adults help?

Independent living programs support young adults from Texas over the age of 18 who are struggling with a variety of issues, problems and behaviors. The goal of these programs is to empower young adults to achieve independence and success by offering them skills, education, and experience that better prepare them for it. Finding the right transitional or independent living program for you makes all the difference. This may mean traveling outside of Texas to find the right fit – and that’s okay! Many young adults find it more beneficial to go to a new place to experience success, as new environments help them improve their self-efficacy and increase their self-esteem. Journey Home Young Adult is an independent living program for young adults located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Why Choose Journey Home Young Adult?

Journey Home Young Adult, a leading independent living program in Utah, works with teens from Texas and across the country to find support and healing during the transition into adulthood. Our small, intimate program allows us to create a personalized course of treatment for each young person to find future success. We give students more autonomy in defining personal goals and future success, as we recognize that it depends on the context of the situation and their cultural background.

The small size of our program, including 10-11 young women, allows us to tailor our independent living program to meet the exact needs of each of our students. Our students each have a diverse array of interests – we want them to all be empowered to pursue their own dreams, and with a small program like ours, they have the ability to do just that! Our students have the flexibility to make choices and decisions for themselves as young adults. Our program size and design allows for this flexibility with day-to-day decisions.

This small program size means big opportunities for you or your young adult from Texas. Starting on day one, our staff is there every step of the way to offer individualized attention and support. From smaller fears to bigger decisions, our mentors are here to help. In developing close and meaningful connections with every student, we are better able to understand what their future goals are and how to help.
