Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for Montana young women help?

Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah. We help young women ages 18-23 looking for their next step after successfully completing a treatment program. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

Our home-like setting is intentionally close to opportunities in the city our students are looking for, including colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks. We integrate a variety of groups outings for adventure and cultural activities that Salt Lake City has to offer into our weekly schedule.

Montana Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

At Journey Home Young Adult, we see the transition to young adulthood as an event to be celebrated! As with any life transition, there are unique challenges that face Montana young women as they enter young adulthood – which is why we have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage young women during this time. Even more unique are the circumstances that young women who have previously been in treatment face during this time. They know that they need a bit more support and structure than other young adults might. These women also have likely gone on their own journey of self-discovery up until this point and want to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. Journey Home Young adult was created for women transitioning into young adulthood and struggling with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.

Helping Young Women From Montana Launch Into A Brighter Future

Failure to launch issues are common in young women ages 18-23, although every student has individual needs that we work with. We focus on personal responsibility, healthy relationships, life skills, and college integration in order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the Montana young women we work with. At Journey Home Young Adult, we help young women accept personal responsibility by teaching them budgeting, time management, self-care, and other valuable life skills. We promote open and honest communication between peers and with our clinical team.
