At Journey Home Young Adult, we work with young women ages 18-23 that are looking for a supportive and enriching program to help them transition into their next phase of life. Journey Home Young Adult is perfect for young women that want to strengthen and refine the skills they have acquired in a previous therapeutic setting. We also require that our clients have at least six months of sobriety. Journey Home Young Adult offer year-round, rolling admissions; this means that we can work with you on enrolling at Journey Home Young Adult whenever the time is right for you. We understand that pursuing this next step can bring up a wide range of emotions, and we are here to help every step of the way.

Parent Involvement

Parent involvement is also a large part of the process of choosing what is right for you and your family.

Journey Home Young Adult specializes in working with young women 18-23 years of age with emotional, behavioral, and mental health disorders. Our clients have struggled with a variety of presenting issues such as:

    • PTSD
    • Depressive and anxiety disorders
    • Identity development
    • Body image issues
    • ADD/ADHD and other learning issues
    • Low motivation
    • Poor relationship skills & boundaries
    • Mood disorders
    • Low self esteem

 

It is important for us to make sure that Journey Home Young Adult is the right place for everyone that is here, so it may be helpful to know what clients would not be effectively served with us. This includes:

    • Those court ordered to complete treatment
    • Conduct disorder diagnosis
    • Those struggling with verbal and/or physically aggressive tendencies
    • Those who have engaged in sexual perpetration
    • Women who are pregnant
