  • University of Utah: As the state’s flagship university, the university offers more than 100 undergraduate majors and more than 92 graduate degree programs. The University of Utah had 24,743 undergraduate students in the 2018-2019 school year.
  • Westminster College: A private, liberal arts college with 39 undergraduate majors and 13 graduate programs. Westminster College had 2,003 undergraduate students in the 2018-2019 school year.

Our location provides access to a number of outdoor pursuits, including hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and skiing. We are minutes away from some of Utah’s most popular canyons, including Big Cottonwood Canyon, Little Cottonwood Canyons, Mill Creek Canyon and Parleys Canyon. If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding (or have always wanted to learn!), then get excited about being close to Cottonwood Canyons. They are home to multiple resorts, such as Alta Ski AreaSnowbird Ski & Summer ResortSolitude Mountain Resort, and Brighton Ski Resort. The mountains also provide year-round outdoor activities including hikingmountain biking, and rock climbing.

Navigating Salt Lake City is safe, fun and easy! With access to an unparalleled public transportation system, there is easy access to both downtown, the airport, and area ski resorts. The TRAX light rail offers access to and from downtown and across the SLC valley, while buses provide connection services at most light rail stations. The commuter train service, Frontrunner, is a great and affordable option for a weekend getaway, with additional transportation services offered in the winter months to many ski resorts. There are also partnerships with GREENbike (a non-profit bike sharing service), Enterprise Carshare, and electric scooters for increased access. Downtown SLC is an easy to navigate city with streets set up on a grid system.

Located in Cottonwood canyon, Porcupine Pub & Grille has elevated comfort food (think pizza, pasta dishes, and sandwiches) in a beautiful, lodgelike setting. For Italian fare, Tuscany offers a fine dining experience, delicious food, and elegant ambiance. For a quick bite, Spitz is a hip spot for doner kebabs, fries, and other Turkish street food.
