Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for Texas young women help?

Although Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have helped girls from all over the country. We help young women ages 18-23 looking for their next step after successfully completing a treatment program. Journey Home Young Adult helps students continue to receive clinical support from our multidisciplinary team and establish a healthy lifestyle in a supportive living environment.

Our home-like setting is easily accessible to all the resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and the beautiful mountains and National Parks that surround the city! Group outings for adventure and cultural activities are built into our weekly schedule so our students can experience everything Salt Lake City has to offer.

At Journey Home Young Adult, we want to empower young women from Texas to heal, grow, and live fuller lives while pursuing their dreams.

Texas Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

The transition to young adulthood is a transformation to be celebrated, not feared, at Journey Home Young Adult! As with any life transition, there are unique challenges that face Texas young women as they enter young adulthood – which is why we have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage young women during this time. Young women who have previously been in treatment are in unique situations during this transition. Compared to other young adults, they know that they may need more support and structure during this time. After embarking on a journey of self-discovery, these women want to continue to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. This is why Journey Home Young Adult was created: to help guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders during their transition into young adulthood.

At Journey Home Young Adult, we help young women accept personal responsibility by teaching them budgeting, time management, self-care, and other valuable life skills.
