Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This program serves young women ages 18-23 that have successfully completed a treatment program and are looking for their next step. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

The city offers a variety of resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks–all easily accessible from our home like setting. Group outings for adventure and cultural activities are built into our weekly schedule so our students can experience everything Salt Lake City has to offer.

Wisconsin Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

At Journey Home Young Adult, we see the transition to young adulthood as an event to be celebrated! We have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage Wisconsin young women to face the unique challenges of life transitions, particularly into young adulthood. Even more unique are the circumstances that young women who have previously been in treatment face during this time. Compared to other young adults, they know that they may need more support and structure during this time. After embarking on a journey of self-discovery, these women want to continue to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. Journey Home Young adult was created for women transitioning into young adulthood and struggling with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.

By working with young women ages 18-23, we can focus on the specific needs of this population in terms of failure to launch issues.
