Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for Wyoming young women help?

Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah. After successfully completing a treatment program, this program helps young women ages 18-23 take their next step. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

The city offers a variety of resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks–all easily accessible from our home like setting. Group outings for adventure and cultural activities are built into our weekly schedule so our students can experience everything Salt Lake City has to offer.

Wyoming Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

Journey Home Young Adult celebrates the transition to young adulthood. As with any life transition, there are unique challenges that face Wyoming young women as they enter young adulthood – which is why we have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage young women during this time. Having successfully completed a treatment program, young women face unique challenges when considering their next step. Compared to other young adults, they know that they may need more support and structure during this time. Everyone in our community understands and respects the progress these women have made on their individual journeys of self discovery. This is why Journey Home Young Adult was created: to help guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders during their transition into young adulthood.

Helping Young Women From Wyoming Launch Into A Brighter Future

We focus on the specific needs of young women ages 18-23 who are struggling with failure to launch. In order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the Wyoming young women we work with, we focus on teaching them a variety of life skills, including personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and college integration. At Journey Home Young Adult, our young women learn about self-care, budgeting, time management, and other skills that lead to increased personal responsibility. We promote open and honest communication between peers and with our clinical team.
