Who do Independent Living Programs for Washington Young Adults help?

Young adults from Washington struggling with a variety of issues, problems, and behaviors find the support they need at independent living programs for clients over the age of 18. With so many options for transitional or independent living programs, it is important to find the appropriate fit. This may mean traveling outside of Washington to find the right fit – and that’s okay! Many young adults find it more beneficial to go to a new place to experience success, as new environments help them improve their self-efficacy and increase their self-esteem. Located in Salt Lake City, Utah, Journey Home Young Adult is an independent living program for young women.

Why Choose Journey Home Young Adult?

As a leading independent living program for young adults, Journey Home Young Adult is located in Utah and works with teens from Washington and across the country to find support and healing during the transition into adulthood. With our small, intimate program we can create a personalized course of treatment for each young person to find future success. We allow our students to define their own version of success and pursue their own path, as success depends on context and culture.

Our independent living program can be personalized to meet the individual needs of our students, as we have a small student body of 10-11 young women. Our students each have a diverse array of interests – we want them to all be empowered to pursue their own dreams, and with a small program like ours, they have the ability to do just that! As young adults, our students deserve to have the flexibility to make choices and decisions for themselves. Our program is designed to allow for this flexibility with day-to-day decisions.

Although we may be a small program, we offer a variety of opportunities for young adults from Washington. The individualized attention and support means we are there every step along the way – starting on day one. We are here to help as mentors in exploring your interests and in making difficult decisions. In developing close and meaningful connections with every student, we are better able to understand what their future goals are and how to help.
