Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for New Hampshire young women help?

Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah. We help young women ages 18-23 looking for their next step after successfully completing a treatment program. Journey Home Young Adult is a supportive living environment that helps our students establish a healthy lifestyle and continue to receive clinical support from our multidisciplinary team.

Our home-like setting is intentionally close to opportunities in the city our students are looking for, including colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks. We integrate a variety of groups outings for adventure and cultural activities that Salt Lake City has to offer into our weekly schedule.

New Hampshire Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

Journey Home Young Adult celebrates the transition to young adulthood. We have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage New Hampshire young women to face the unique challenges of life transitions, particularly into young adulthood. Young women who have previously been in treatment are in unique situations during this transition. Compared to other young adults, they know that they may need more support and structure during this time. After embarking on a journey of self-discovery, these women want to continue to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. During the transition to young adulthood, Journey Home Young Adult helps guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.

By working with young women ages 18-23, we can focus on the specific needs of this population in terms of failure to launch issues. We work with New Hampshire young women by offering a balanced and well-rounded program focused on personal responsibility, healthy relationships, life skills, and college integration. At Journey Home Young Adult, our young women learn about self-care, budgeting, time management, and other skills that lead to increased personal responsibility. We promote open and honest communication between peers and with our clinical team.
