Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for Pennsylvania young women help?

Although Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have helped girls from all over the country. This program serves young women ages 18-23 that have successfully completed a treatment program and are looking for their next step. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

Our home-like setting is easily accessible to all the resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and the beautiful mountains and National Parks that surround the city! We integrate a variety of groups outings for adventure and cultural activities that Salt Lake City has to offer into our weekly schedule.

At Journey Home Young Adult, we want to empower young women from Pennsylvania to heal, grow, and live fuller lives while pursuing their dreams.

The transition to young adulthood is a transformation to be celebrated, not feared, at Journey Home Young Adult! We have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage Pennsylvania young women to face the unique challenges of life transitions, particularly into young adulthood. Even more unique are the circumstances that young women who have previously been in treatment face during this time. They know that they need a bit more support and structure than other young adults might. After embarking on a journey of self-discovery, these women want to continue to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. This is why Journey Home Young Adult was created: to help guide young women with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders during their transition into young adulthood.

Helping Young Women From Pennsylvania Launch Into A Brighter Future

By working with young women ages 18-23, we can focus on the specific needs of this population in terms of failure to launch issues. In order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the Pennsylvania young women we work with, we focus on teaching them a variety of life skills, including personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and college integration. At Journey Home Young Adult, our young women learn about self-care, budgeting, time management, and other skills that lead to increased personal responsibility. They practice open and honest communication daily.
