Journey Home Young Adult helps teens ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young person who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for Rhode Island teens help?

Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah. We help teens ages 18-23 looking for their next step after successfully completing a treatment program. Journey Home Young Adult is a supportive living environment that helps our students establish a healthy lifestyle and continue to receive clinical support from our multidisciplinary team.

Our home-like setting is intentionally close to opportunities in the city our students are looking for, including colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks. Group outings for adventure and cultural activities are built into our weekly schedule so our students can experience everything Salt Lake City has to offer.

At Journey Home Young Adult, we want to empower teens from Rhode Island to heal, grow, and live fuller lives while pursuing their dreams.

The transition to young adulthood is a transformation to be celebrated, not feared, at Journey Home Young Adult! Young adulthood poses many challenges for Rhode Island teens in the middle of the transition, which is why we have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage them. Having successfully completed a treatment program, teens face unique challenges when considering their next step. Due to the circumstances, they know that they may need a bit more support and structure than other young adults living independently might. Everyone in our community understands and respects the progress these people have made on their individual journeys of self discovery. During the transition to young adulthood, Journey Home Young Adult helps guide teens with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.

Helping Young Women From Rhode Island Launch Into A Brighter Future

Failure to launch issues are common in teens ages 18-23, although every student has individual needs that we work with. In order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the Rhode Island teens we work with, we focus on teaching them a variety of life skills, including personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and college integration. Young people practice self-care, time management, budgeting and overall personal responsibility at Journey Home Young Adult. They practice open and honest communication daily.
