Journey Home Young Adult helps young women ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young woman who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for Vermont young women help?

Although Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have helped girls from all over the country. We help young women ages 18-23 looking for their next step after successfully completing a treatment program. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

Our home-like setting is intentionally close to opportunities in the city our students are looking for, including colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks. We want our students to experience everything that Salt Lake City has to offer, so built into our weekly schedule are group outings for adventure and cultural activities.

At Journey Home Young Adult, we want to empower young women from Vermont to heal, grow, and live fuller lives while pursuing their dreams.

Vermont Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

The transition to young adulthood is a transformation to be celebrated, not feared, at Journey Home Young Adult! As with any life transition, there are unique challenges that face Vermont young women as they enter young adulthood – which is why we have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage young women during this time. Even more unique are the circumstances that young women who have previously been in treatment face during this time. Due to the circumstances, they know that they may need a bit more support and structure than other young adults living independently might. These women also have likely gone on their own journey of self-discovery up until this point and want to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. Journey Home Young adult was created for women transitioning into young adulthood and struggling with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.

Helping Young Women From Vermont Launch Into A Brighter Future

By working with young women ages 18-23, we can focus on the specific needs of this population in terms of failure to launch issues. We focus on personal responsibility, healthy relationships, life skills, and college integration in order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the Vermont young women we work with. Young women practice self-care, time management, budgeting and overall personal responsibility at Journey Home Young Adult. We emphasize open and honest communication in everyday interactions.
