Journey Home Young Adult helps teens ages 18-23 in need of additional guidance after graduation from a residential treatment program. Clients work towards building independent living skills in order to transition successfully into adulthood.

A typical client in the Journey Home Young Adult program is a young person who has seen growth in self-confidence, emotional maturity, and self-motivation. Our clients have specific goals that they wish to reach during their time at our program. These goals can range from academics to career goals. They are focused on improving emotional, physical and relational health.

How does our failure to launch program for West Virginia teens help?

Although Journey Home Young Adult is a failure to launch program located in Salt Lake City, Utah, we have helped girls and assigned female at birth from all over the country. This program serves teens ages 18-23 that have successfully completed a treatment program and are looking for their next step. Journey Home Young Adult offers a supportive living environment and continuous support from our multidisciplinary clinical team establish a healthy lifestyle.

The city offers a variety of resources our students might need: colleges and universities, career and volunteer opportunities, social and cultural events, and beautiful mountains and National Parks–all easily accessible from our home like setting. We want our students to experience everything that Salt Lake City has to offer, so built into our weekly schedule are group outings for adventure and cultural activities.

West Virginia Young Women Transitioning into Adulthood at Failure to Launch Programs

At Journey Home Young Adult, we see the transition to young adulthood as an event to be celebrated! We have cultivated a supportive and intentional community to encourage West Virginia teens to face the unique challenges of life transitions, particularly into young adulthood. Young people who have previously been in treatment are in unique situations during this transition. They know that they need a bit more support and structure than other young adults might. After embarking on a journey of self-discovery, these people want to continue to be in a community that understands and respects their progress. During the transition to young adulthood, Journey Home Young Adult helps guide teens with emotional, behavioral, or mental health disorders.

Helping Young Women From West Virginia Launch Into A Brighter Future

We focus on the specific needs of teens ages 18-23 who are struggling with failure to launch. In order to create a balanced and well-rounded program for the West Virginia teens we work with, we focus on teaching them a variety of life skills, including personal responsibility, healthy relationships, and college integration. Young people practice self-care, time management, budgeting and overall personal responsibility at Journey Home Young Adult. We emphasize open and honest communication in everyday interactions.
